A successful 1st edition for International Week
ESIGELEC hosted the 1st edition of International Week from March 9 to March 12, 2015. Students, faculty and staff were invited to conferences, workshops and shows, and had the opportunity to experience the international diversity of the school.
International Week was organized around four themes : Art and Culture, ESIGELEC's International Students, Going Abroad and Music & Dance. It opened with a conference by the Taiwanese Ambassador to France, LU Michel. His intervention won the students over ; they particularly appreciated his humor and his oratory skills.
Later in the week, Philippe Eudeline, member of the board and a foreign trade advisor, gave a conference on French International Volunteers in Business and alumni participated in a round table discussion to share their experiences abroad.
International students were also very pleased to showcase activities and specialties from their countries : games, traditional costumes, food...
The event ended on a festive note, as students performed music and dance numbers in front of their classmates, faculty and staff.
In parallel, three photo exhibitions were on display all week :
- "International students in Rouen"
- "ESIGELEC students abroad"
- "ESIGELEC Alumni around the world"
And every day at the cafeteria, the chef prepared themed meals : Asian, American, Indian, Caribbean and North African.
International Week involved over 100 contributors and was appreciated by all participants. A second edition is already in preparation for March 2016.
